On an Island
During the month of February, I usually try to get away to somewhere a little warmer, a little sunnier and a little more remote. Most times I find myself on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it. If you have visited, you know all about the beautiful beaches and turquoise waters.
St. John is a great spot for snorkeling, scuba diving and all things beach related. A large part of the island is a national park with hiking trails, and you’ll probably run into a wild donkey or two. There are also plenty of shops and restaurant choices in the Coral Bay area. There are even a few floating restaurants around the island.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, go ahead and add the U.S. Virgin Islands to your list. The best part is that you won’t even need a passport to visit, making it even more accessible to reach these gorgeous islands!
