Hitting the ReStart Button
ReStart is a Kansas City nonprofit that provides housing and resources to help the homeless get back on their feet. They serve all homeless populations including singles, families, individuals with mental illness and children.
ReStart is the only youth shelter in the Kansas City urban core that offers help for children and young adults. I was drawn to the organization based on their commitment to help while also educating and setting individuals up for future success.
Last month, I was invited to speak to a group of young adults about finance and different methods of becoming financially secure. The topics we covered included budgeting, credit and how to start saving. The information was well received by everyone in the audience and even led to further conversations about how to invest. It was incredibly powerful, and I feel so lucky to be able to work with ReStart.
If you have time, I would strongly encourage you to learn more about ReStart by visiting their website. You can click here to visit and read about their philosophy and their events!
