I had the pleasure of joining Megan and her family on a trip to Ireland and England and for a trans-Atlantic cruise to New York City aboard the Queen Mary 2.
In Dublin, we enjoyed the sights of the city, even making a stop at the world-famous Guinness factory (see the photo of our faces on a pint). We also visited Kilmainham Gaol, an historic prison with lots of history. From there we journeyed to Bath, England, home of the Roman Baths, prior to boarding of the Queen Mary 2.
It took seven days to cross the Atlantic. Luckily, there was plenty to do on board, including food, golf, art talks, trivia and more food. It was an adventure that had me thinking about all of those that had made the journey across the sea so many years ago.
